2014-10-21 Flyers vs Blackhawks

Earlier this week, I was lucky enough to be able to head to the United Center to watch the Flyers play the Blackhawks.  We had great seats thanks to my buddy Dave.   Unfortunately, the Flyers didn't bother showing up, and were down 3-0 pretty quickly.  Bad game.  Great fun.

Philadelphia Flyers vs Minnesota Wild 2013-12-23

While I was back in PA for the Christmas holiday, I went to catch a Flyers game with my cousin Jody.  I was amazed out how cool the Xfinity Live was.  We had a beer at each bar in the place before we headed to the arena.  We headed back there after the game too.  I could go to a hockey game and be satisfied watching it on TVs there without having a ticket for the game. Had a chance to drink some good micro brews too.

It was a great game too.  The Flyers came out of the gate strong.  Wayne Simmonds had two goals and it was the first of three games in a row that he did that.  Got some decent pics too considering we were in the last row of the arena.

Boston Bruins v Washington Capitals 2013-03-16

We went to Boston for St. Patrick's weekend again this year to see the Dropkick Murphys play.  On Saturday, I met my friend Edog in front of the TD Garden at the Bobby Orr statue, and we bought some scalped tickets to go to the hockey game.  The Bruins had more goals, more shots, more hits, and won all of the fights.  Great game!  I started off the afternoon with a Molson Canadian and an Italian sausage sandwich.  This was the start of a very long day as we met my cousin Jody and his girlfriend and her sisters after the game for a few drinks.  Later that night we met up with Edog's wife, his brother and his girlfriend.  More pictures can be found here.

Flyers v Bruins 2012-03-17

Silly me, I did not realize until Friday morning that my favorite team would be in town for a game.  I must be an idiot!!  Fortunately, my wife is very understanding.  How often would I be in Boston on St Pat's Day when the Flyers are in town? Probably never again!  Wendy didn't have to tell me twice that she was OK if I went to the game.  I went.  She walk all over the city.  After all, it was St Pat's Day!!

The Flyers got off to a slow, disappointing start.  They picked up the pace in the 2nd period, and were able to get 1 point in a shoot out loss.  Great venue, great crowd, great game!!

Chicago Blackhawks v Detroit Red Wings 2012-02-21

Last Tuesday, I attended the Blackhawks game, and got to sit in the BMO Harris Club section for the first time.  It was an awesome experience.  It was also a great game.
