Bad Bones BBQ @ Andre Reed Annual Golf Tourney

This past Monday, on their day off, Bad Bones BBQ and their sponsor Newhard Corn Shed supported the 3rd Annual Andre Reed Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Lehigh Country Club.  The BBQ Crew had the rig setup near the 3rd hole on the course, and donated pork shoulder sandwiches and roasted corn on the cob to the celebrities and their charitable partners who shared the greens with them for the day.

The biggest celebrity golfer was Christopher McDonald aka Shooter McGavin from the movie "Happy Gilmore".  He was one of 30 celebs who joined 120 charitable golfers for the day on the course.  Scooter was hanging with Daniel Baldwin throughout the day, and reports from anonymous sources stated that these guys had a great time during this charity event.

United Way and the Allentown Boys and Girls Club were honored by the charitable contributions by all involved.  The event kicked off at the Bethlehem Sands Casino where the charitable golfers had a chance to spend some time with the celebs prior to hitting the greens.  Rumor has it that this was quite an entertaining event that may have been worth the donations in and of itself without spending time on the greens with the celebs.

It was reported that many celebs congratulated Bad Bones BBQ for smoking up the best BBQ that they have ever had.  Bad Bones BBQ thanks them for their compliments and was glad to be able to support such a great event and the charities that benefited from everyone's efforts.

Bad Bones BBQ - Grand Opening!!!

Bad Bones BBQ had their grand opening on Wednesday, June 27th.  The "Boneyard" is setup at Newhard Farms Corn Shed at 3250 Mauch Chunk Road in Coplay, PA.  Serving hours are 11am-6pm on Wednesday thru Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sundays.  They already have had to close early a few days because they sold out.

Bad Bones BBQ

My brother has gone HOG WILD with his top of the line BBQ business, BAD BONES BBQ.  He is a disabled UPS package driver that has had to pick another career choice after suffering a workers compensation injury.  Here are pics of his new BBQ smoker/trailer rig that he is in the process of driving back to Pennsylvania.  He picked up the trailer just outside of Nashville, TN.  He then dodged the recent tornados on his way to Sikeston, MO to pick up the smoker that is mounted on the back of the trailer, and the portable unit that he strapped down in front of it for the trip home.

This guy makes championship BBQ at reasonable prices to cater your home picnic events and will soon be setting up shop for every day purchases out of this unit.  Be sure to support him.  It is the best BBQ on the East Coast.  I don't just say that because he is my brother.  I say it because I taught him :).  I paid my dues smoking pork and chicken in my Memphis backyard with the former Memphis in May BBQ champ team THE OTHER TEAM lead by my neighbor and brother from another mother, Tim Mitchell, who still competes in the event.  He won the WHOLE DAMN THING!!!!  We did win 2nd place in BBQ Sauce the year I competed with him.
